CIOmove @home L’Oréal

Let’s meet again at L´Oréal in Düsseldorf on November 11. Remember the 17 sustainability goals Atefeh Riazi, CIO of the United Nations, told us in New York

Remember the plans to reduce CO2 in IT Jan Brecht, CIO of Daimler, explained this year in Stuttgart? Frank Hoe invited us to see how his company already reached some of these ambitious goals

  • Since 2005, the L´Oréal group has reduced the CO2 emissions of its plants and distribution centers by 81% (while production volume increased by 29% over the same period)
  • At the end of 2020, L’Oréal had 72 carbon neutral sites (meaning they use 100% renewable energy), including 19 factories.
  • Furthermore, sustainable goals like keeping water clean have been reached: https://www.loreal.com/de-de/germany/pages/commitments/l-oreal-for-the-future-de-/ We will get some background about the sustainability journey L´Oréal started 16 years ago. And we have the chance to see the distribution center (including the chance to pack an individual package on your own).
