

Prior to joining KraussMaffei, Peter Seidel was CIO at Lilium. Before that, the experienced manager worked for BMW for 20 years in various management positions in IT, supporting various business areas such as BMW Financial Services, After Sales and Production. He has strategic and operational expertise in managing international IT organizations, combined with in-depth experience in the areas of IT deployment (DevOps), IT governance, IT procurement and IT security.

Peter succeeds Kai Schmezko, who has headed the Corporate IT function since 2019. Kai Schmezko will leave the company at the end of March to pursue new challenges.
Kai Schmezko: “Over the past few years at KraussMaffei, we have achieved a lot with the transition to a global IT organization, the relocation of IT at three German locations, the separation of NETSTAL from the IT structure and the comprehensive expansion and modernization of our IT landscape and IT security, as well as overcoming major challenges such as a cyberattack. I would like to thank my entire team and all my colleagues for their consistently great cooperation! I am now embarking on another chapter with many new and exciting challenges.”
