The University of St.Gallen (HSG) was founded in 1898 as a business academy during the heyday of the St. Gallen embroidery industry. Today, it is a university for economics, law, social sciences, international affairs, and computer science.The first lectures took place in 1899. Since those early days, our education has been characterized by practical relevance and an integrative view. We are one of the leading business universities in Europe and are EQUIS-, AACSB- and AMBA-accredited.
