The former IT Director of EF Education First will take on the role of Group Chief Information Officer at Mediclinic starting in February.
Mediclinic Group, the international private healthcare group, has announced the appointment of Patrick Kammermann as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO). Patrick, who will take up his new position on February 1, succeeds Dirk le Roux, who will retire at the end of February. He will report to Group Chief Executive Officer Ronnie van der Merwe.
Patrick has a broad experience in leading IT positions. Prior to his appointment at Mediclinic, he served as CIO at EF Education First, a global education company providing cultural exchange and academic programs, among other services. During his five-year tenure at EF Education First, he excelled at leading digital transformation initiatives, with a particular focus on digital personalization along the value chain.
His professional career also includes significant positions in technology organizations at elipsLife, AXA Group, Zurich Insurance and Swiss Life. Patrick’s more than 15 years of experience in senior IT roles in various industries is considered a key factor in his new position at Mediclinic. His academic background includes degrees in HR & Change Management from the University of Central Florida, Electrical Engineering from Duke University and Communications Technology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
In his new role at Mediclinic, Patrick will be responsible for leading transformation projects and managing technology initiatives in B2B and B2C environments. He will focus on adding value to Mediclinic’s overall business strategy through innovative digital and technology solutions. The new Group CIO will be based in Switzerland.
