CIOmove@Hapag-Lloyd on April 20, 2026

Hapag-Lloyd is on a transformation journey. Together with senior leaders from across the business, the company will share how one of the world’s leading liner shipping companies is using technology, data, and sustainability initiatives to drive smarter operations and long-term change. With 305 modern vessels, around 12.5 million TEU transported per year, and 17,400 employees across more than 400 offices in 140 countries, Hapag-Lloyd offers a compelling perspective on how global scale, operational excellence, and digital innovation can come together to accelerate transformation.

The afternoon begins at Hapag-Lloyd with welcome coffee, followed by an opening from Donya Amer (CIO/CHRO of Hapag-Lloyd) and Horst Ellermann (CIOmove). The program will then explore key dimensions of transformation at Hapag-Lloyd: how to transform a global shipping giant, how data and AI can create measurable value across the organization, and how sustainability can become a true business driver. After the main program, guests will transfer to Ballindamm for an additional session on Hapag-Lloyd’s roots and corporate identity, followed by a joint dinner.

Directions

We recommend the City-Parkhaus XXL Hamburg | Q-Park on Rosenstrasse, which is located directly across from the Hapag-Lloyd building at Rosenstrasse 17 – that is also where the event will take place.
