The topics keeping me busy at the moment:
ING’s purpose, as articulated in the Think Forward Strategy, is to empower people to stay a step ahead in life and in business. Our TF strategy is focused at delivering this differentiating experience and is built on five promises we make to our customers:
- Clear & Easy: We reduce complexity in products, processes and services, empowering our customers so they can spend time on what matters most to them
- Empowering: We provide the complete financial picture across all institutions, allowing our customers and clients to see the financial impact to guide key decisions
- Connecting opportunities: We seamlessly connect our customers to seize opportunities – across borders, value chains, and industries – to solutions offered by ourselves or our third-party partners
- Keep getting better: We keep looking for new ways to make things better. New ideas. New solutions. New ways to make things easier, to keep improving the customer experience
- Anytime, Anywhere: We provide the go-to place for all financial needs, and we will be present on other platforms to be where our customers need us to be
In order to execute on this strategy from an IT perspective, we are currently transforming the Target Operating Model of the IT organization which includes our roadmap of change. Amongst other things, we are currently working on the standardization of processes, establishing global strategic partnerships, transforming the organizational structures and governance, aligning and standardizing our IT capabilities and competencies globally and building the foundation for further convergence by having one global technology platform. This will enable faster delivery of services in an agile, cost efficient and globally scalable way.
